Florida Vacation Tips

When packing for a trip to Florida, don't forget sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a water bottle.
Always bring along a refillable water bottle. Florida’s heat and humidity can cause heat stress and dehydration. Drink plenty of water and non-carbonated drinks, even if you do not feel thirsty.
Be careful in Florida’s hot sun
Limit your time in the sun and avoid exposure during the hottest hours of the sun’s rays.
Apply ample amounts of sunscreen SPF (Sun Protection Factor), paying special attention to the face, nose, ears and shoulders. Don't get fooled into thinking you can't get sunburned when it is cloudy.
Looking for a fun and inexpensive souvenir of Florida. How about seashells! You’ll find plenty of these free souvenirs along Florida’s beaches! They are special because you found them yourself and they can be displayed or used for crafts.
